Staff Payroll Accountant - Contract to hire (Greater Seattle Area)

Focus Search LLC is recruiting for a Staff Payroll Accountant with a large global logistics company in Seattle. This is a contract role with the potential to move to permanent. This role will support payroll and benefits accounting functions, will assist in preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing financial variances, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax laws, benefits regulations, and GAAP standards. Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of GL accounting experience, with exposure to Payroll/Benefits accounting ideal
• Strong understanding of US GAAP concepts
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Dynamics ideal

Hourly rate of $35-39/hr.
