This job is in Melissa, Tx You must live within 45 minutes of assigned site/area (Melissa, Tx) to be considered for this position.

Job Summary:

Maintenance Technicians will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain valves, well heads, gas lines, and well extensions in the landfill field. The Maintenance Technician position requires a strong work ethic and resilience to perform in demanding field conditions, including exposure to odors, extreme temperatures, and rugged terrain in and around the landfill.

Responsibilities involve working on uneven or sloped surfaces, performing trench work, and extending wells. This is a physically intensive and often dirty job, and candidates must be comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments. All duties performed must follow safety guidelines and have a safety-first mindset. Flexibility is essential, as this role, in addition to the standard shift, will be on-call and may require responding to unexpected issues, and handling emergency situations critical to field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established field maintenance procedures and design standards.
• Understand and properly identify and use materials and tools for well field operations and assist with inventory management.
• Become familiar with basic operating procedures for field maintenance duties ensuring time management in all duties.

• Make daily Well/Pump rounds following guideline, capacity expectations and time management.

• Installing/pulling/troubleshoot, clean and test pump(s)
• Assist with extending gas wells, ensuring compliance with technical specifications with supervision.
• Vacuum Survey - Know when you have vacuum surging.
• Sounding well.

• Develop basic knowledge of GCCS components.

• Know what an extraction well is and its function is.
• Know what a remote well is and its function is.
• Know what a horizontal well and its function is.
• Condensation sumps and what its function is.
• Know what a vent recovery well is and what its function is.
• Basic knowledge of wellhead components and function
• Develop skills in HDPE pipe fusion, with supervision including.

• Understand the basic fundamentals in fusing HDPE pipe.
• Be able to fuse 2" 3" 4" 6" 8" pipe under supervision.
• Be able to prep for fusion collar welds.
• Know how to identify a bad weld.
• Perform basic heavy equipment operation skills including:
• Know how to do equipment walk around/inspection properly.
• Know the safety risks & adhere to safety protocols of operating heavy machinery.
• Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment.
• Grease ports
• Blow out air filters
• Hydraulic fluid

• Keeping equipment clean

• Adhere to safety practices, use PPE, identify hazards, and address safety concerns respectfully.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates to the maintenance log.
• Communicate effectively with all teams on location to identify issues and contribute to increasing gas flow from the field.
• Assist in various tasks during upset conditions, including supporting maintenance techs, field techs, construction activities, and plant operations.

• Maintain housekeeping standards (clean & clear of clutter) in shop, storage, and UTV areas.
• Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
• Follow established field/plant maintenance procedures and design standards.
• Participate in:
• Ongoing training and education.
• Peer-to-peer training and knowledge sharing.
• Innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Enjoys working outdoors in all elements.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools

• Fundamentals of working with computers and navigating Microsoft applications

• Ability to multitask and be self-directed
• No previous experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• RNG/Landfill experience, construction/roofing experience, heavy equipment, and/or tool handling experience is a plus.
• HDPE pipe experience

• Skills in operating heavy equipment

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must clear background check and drug test.
• The ability to communicate effectively is important.
• The ability to be punctual, dependable, and willing to work long hours if needed is required.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must have good manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods. This includes walking catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, lifting, driving a vehicle, and operation of light industrial equipment.
• The ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks in extreme weather conditions is important.
• The ability to work weekdays and weekends.
• The ability to work overtime and respond to callouts during off hours.
• The ability to respond in a timely manner to any emergency is important.

Compensation details: 20-24 Yearly Salary
