Staff Database Engineer

To support critical database initiatives, the full-time remote Staff Database Engineer will architect, optimize, and scale mission-critical database systems, ensuring long-term reliability and performance while leading cross-team architectural efforts. Key Responsibilities Design and evolve scalable database architectures for transactional and analytical systems Diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues through optimization strategies Own the reliability and scalability of database systems, implementing robust backup and disaster recovery strategies Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in database engineering or data architecture Deep expertise with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server Strong proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization Proven experience designing high throughput, mission-critical production systems Extensive experience with backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery patterns
