Store Assistant Manager

Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in the supervision and oversight of all team members and business operations, monitoring and facilitating all production and retail processes, pick-up and delivery, shipping and quality control processes. Manages store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager is required to perform all functions normally performed by the team member.

General duties and responsibilities include demonstrating consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers, evaluating the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences, resolving customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction, creating a customer focused environment in all areas of the store, establishing and managing a process for customer flow in the store, providing training and development of team members, interviewing job applicants, coaching, counseling and providing feedback to team members, maintaining communication with the Store Lead Consultant and/or production team, overseeing shipping related services and activities, and performing all other administrative duties as needed or requested.

Minimum qualifications and requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent education and 1+ year of related experience, prior supervisory experience preferred.

Essential functions include the ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods, ability to move and lift 55 pounds, ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees, ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members, ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction, ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure, ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business.
