You will be an active contributor to the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles, prepare and analyze financial reports for leadership, and partner with department managers who rely on your financial insight. This is a collaborative environment with supportive, accessible leadership and a culture that values flexibility, trust, and continuous improvement.If you bring 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong US GAAP fundamentals, and a mindset focused on improving processes and driving efficiency, this role offers both impact and long-term growth potential.Key ResponsibilitiesManage general ledger activities and prepare account reconciliations as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.Prepare and review financial statements; provide variance explanations and actionable insights to management.Prepare journal entries and accruals with appropriate supporting documentation; ensure transactions are accurate and complete.Identify and resolve account discrepancies; maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Oversee fixed asset accounting, including project setup, CIP tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and asset disposals.Partner with site finance and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset activity.Research and document accounting matters in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.Support ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.Recommend practical solutions to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting processes.Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and providing organized supporting documentation.Provide financial reporting and guidance to department leaders across the organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and ad hoc initiatives.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting.Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge.CPA or CMA preferred.Experience with a large ERP system and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).Background in fixed asset accounting preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail and a proactive, dependable work style.Experience in a multi-location or manufacturing environment is a plus.Demonstrated ability to identify efficiencies and contribute to process improvements.Why You’ll Love Working HereA well-rounded role with meaningful responsibility and visibility across the organization.A collaborative team environment with supportive and accessible leadership.A culture that values trust, flexibility, and continuous improvement.Opportunity to drive process enhancements and make a tangible impact.Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, 401(k), and unlimited PTO.At Taylor White, we specialize in Accounting & Finance roles in Tampa Bay.
