FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Conformal Coat Operator to support the protection and finishing of printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on manufacturing experience while learning conformal coating processes, safely operating production equipment, working with chemicals, and maintaining established quality and process standards. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable following instructions, and willing to learn in a hands-on production environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies for conformal coating
- Applying protective coatings to PCBs and electronic assemblies according to established work instructions and process requirements
- Operating conformal coating and related production equipment safely
- Following written procedures, production documentation, and supervisor instructions
- Handling chemicals and coating materials according to established safety procedures
- Inspecting coated assemblies for proper coverage and workmanship
- Identifying coating defects or process issues and escalating concerns as appropriate
- Masking and unmasking assemblies as required by the production process
- Maintaining accurate production and process documentation
- Supporting cleaning and preparation of production equipment and work areas
- Maintaining organized and clean workstations
- Following quality standards and established manufacturing procedures
- Working carefully around sensitive electronic components and assemblies
- Supporting production goals and customer delivery requirements
- Following all applicable safety requirements and wearing required PPE
- Working collaboratively with Production, Quality, and other manufacturing team members
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 0 to 1 year of manufacturing, production, assembly, or related experience preferred
- Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn may be considered
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and manufacturing-related odors required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required
- Strong attention to detail required
- Ability to perform repetitive hands-on production tasks
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required
- Experience working with printed circuit boards or electronic assemblies a plus
- Electronics manufacturing experience a plus
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as AS9100, ISO 13485, or ISO 9001 preferred
- Ability to maintain consistent quality while working in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable and dependable attendance required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment drug and background screening
- Ability to work onsite in Brea, CA
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- Ability to work overtime as required based on production needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods throughout the production shift
- Ability to use hands and fingers for masking, coating, handling electronic assemblies, inspection, and related production tasks
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to visually inspect printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies for coating quality and workmanship
- Ability to work around chemicals, coatings, production equipment, and manufacturing-related odors
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow chemical handling and manufacturing safety procedures
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout production areas
- Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and attention to detail while performing repetitive production tasks
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with normal production noise and activity
Salary Range: $17 to $19/hour
