Part‑Time Sales Associate We are looking for passionate individuals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales at Five Below. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently. Understand customer needs using product knowledge, answer questions, and provide recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Promote store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance the shopping experience. Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management regarding restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Support team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store objectives. Qualifications Minimum age 16. Available for a flexible schedule. Comfort with or willingness to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices. Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers. Courteous and professional handling of customer interactions and concerns. Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Operate cash register frequently. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/ remove items up to a height of 5–10 feet. Ascend/ descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop frequently, including in stock room and on sales floor. Communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers via telephone and face‑to‑face interactions. Move across sales floor assisting customers and retrieving stock from the stock room. Work flexible schedule meeting business needs, including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required. Identify and discern email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures. Remain in stationary upright position for 80% of time.
