Department 03230 WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Pediatrics: Nephrology Position Full time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP‑AC) or Physician Assistant – Inpatient Nephrology team in Winston‑Salem, NC. Schedule Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week; potential weekend coverage up to two weekends per month. Compensation $51.05 - $76.60 per hour Base compensation within pay range based on qualifications and experience Premium pay (shift, on call) and incentive pay for select positions Annual performance-based increases Benefits CME reimbursement up to $2,500 and 5 additional PTO days/year Work‑life balance options (4 ten‑hour days or weekday schedule) Generous PTO and reproductive health benefits Relocation assistance $7,500 Health, dental, vision, life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; flexible spending accounts Paid time off, retirement plan with employer match Educational assistance program What You’ll Do Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations in inpatient settings Use medical decision‑making to determine appropriate care plans Collaborate with the medical team for effective team‑based care Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies Explain diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients Perform procedures per department or practice guidelines Precept students and/or medical learners as encouraged Uphold AHWFB mission, values, and cultural commitment Perform other related duties as incidental to work described Qualifications – Physician Assistant Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master’s degree preferred Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, certified by NCCPA Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates considered BLS and PALS required Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program; Master’s degree or higher required Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license Board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates considered BLS and PALS required Location Winston‑Salem, NC in the North Carolina Piedmont Triad region.
