The cook will follow dietary regulations and any dietary restrictions. Qualifications: Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to follow directions and perform assigned tasks. Must be able to relate work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs. Complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment. Requirements General Responsibilities: Review Menus prior to preparation of food. Is Supervisor in Dietary Director absence. Ensure that all food production is completed to assure meals are served on times. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures. Prepare all snacks. Ensure that safety regulations and precautions, Infection Control procedures, and Universal Precautions are being used when performing daily tasks. Keep kitchen orderly. Wipe down all ovens, stovetop daily when shift completed. Sweep floors. Mop floor after supper. Sanitize counters and sinks. Wear hair nets and nametags at all times. Label any food that has been opened or leftover food that is to be saved. Other duties as assigned. Summary This position would be 32 hours in a two week pay period. Shift times are 10:45AM-6:30PM. You are required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.
