Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2-5 years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6 per nurse
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend may be required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Float policy applies within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI or MOAB (CPI or MOAB required prior to start)
• 2-5 years of ED experience required
• Charge nurse experience a plus
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a range of acute and emergent patient presentations
• No unacceptable attire restrictions, no specific scrub color requirement
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local, which may affect travel rate eligibility
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
