Medical Assistant OB/GYN

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant role is designed for a certified professional with at least 6 months of experience in an adult outpatient clinic, preferably with OB/GYN background. The MA-C will support clinical procedures including LEEP, colposcopy, and IUD insertions, ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced OB/GYN clinic setting. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude are essential to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Responsibilities:

• Assist with clinical procedures such as LEEP, colposcopy, and IUD insertions.
• Provide patient care and support during outpatient visits in an OB/GYN clinic.
• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Chart patient information accurately using EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and equipment.
• Support clinicians by floating within skillset to meet facility needs as required.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential is mandatory.
• Minimum 6 months experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Reliable transportation for travel to clinic location.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience specifically in OB/GYN clinical settings.
• Familiarity with OB/GYN procedures such as LEEP, colposcopy, and IUD insertions.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.

Special Considerations:

• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.
• Shift coverage may require floating within scope of skills to meet facility needs.
• Candidate must have no additional scheduling restrictions and reliable transportation.
• Facility may call off traveler up to one shift every two weeks.
• Scrub color and attire are flexible.

Scheduling:

• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 17:30.
• One alternating day off each week.
• No weekend or holiday shifts.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
