Job TitleJob DescriptionResponsibilitiesRead blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texturePaint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsApply varnish and other finishesCalculate costs and negotiate pricesTake and adhere to all health and safety precautionsRequirements and SkillsProven experience as a painterExcellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniquesAptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)Good basic math skillsManual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.Conscientious with great attention to detailHigh school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeshipPay: $16-$26 an hour based on experiencePeople wanted with painting experience and willing to learn with minimal experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.00 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Elkhart Lake, WI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
