Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerPortland, Oregon, United StatesPosition status: On HoldAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-10-20$2,245.33/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit assignment requiring 2 years of cardiac tele experience and an OR RN license.DetailsCardiac IMC unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center statusPatient population includes cardiology (ACS, NSTEMI, HF management, pre/post cath care, arrhythmia management), EPS (pacemaker placement, arrhythmia management), cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacement, TAVR), vascular surgery (amputations, fem-pop bypass), and advanced heart failure (pre/post transplant, VAD, inotrope support)Patient ratio of 1:4Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per weekWeekend requirement of 4 shifts per monthNo on-call requirementsFloating required within scope to Acute Care/IMC units, including possible float to a nearby affiliate hospitalUses Epic charting systemSafe Patient Mobilization equipment (ceiling lifts) available in most patient roomsRequirementsActive RN license (Oregon or Compact) required; active OR RN license required for considerationCurrent certifications: BLS and ACLSMinimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience requiredEpic charting experience highly preferredCOVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions acceptedAdditional InformationProvide cardiac telemetry nursing care across a range of cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and advanced heart failure casesRefusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellationScrub color may be any color with no prints; scrubs are providedParking requires a $16 daily pass (8am-5pm); public transportation is highly encouragedFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionLocal candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictionPending license candidates accepted if application has been submitted to the licensing board, qualifying for a 90-day license exemptionRTO limited to a maximum of 5 days for a 13-week assignment or 7 days for an 18-week assignment; approved time off beyond 5 days requires extending the contract to complete a full 13 weeksAll time off requests must be submitted at the time of applicationFormer OHSU employees or previous travelers at OHSU must have a reference completed by their OHSU supervising managerCandidates must be gone from OHSU for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
