Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a part-time therapist to join the Crisis Recovery Unit (CRU) team. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and monitoring client progress using evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions. The therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team, provides crisis intervention as needed, and maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Functions

The CRU clinician will be responsible for completing the following tasks:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder assessments and diagnoses as appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed-upon goals and objectives and update as needed.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.
• Maintain agency standards for productivity and documentation.
• Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
• Participate in regularly scheduled supervision.
• Complete all required training that is assigned to this position by the defined deadlines.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the essential job functions outline above, the following responsibilities are assigned to this specific position:

• Provide treatment to individuals experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention when necessary.
• Ensure services support client stability, recovery, and functioning in the community.

Schedule

The successful candidate with work 20 hours per week. The schedule will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, five (5) days per week. The approved schedule will be determined by the hiring manager and the successful candidate. Once the five (5) work days are determined, they will be locked in.

This position is housed at the CRU, located at 2250 North 1700 West, Layton, UT 84041.

This position is located at the Crisis Recovery Unit with Davis Behavioral Health. The Crisis Recovery Unit (CRU) provides short-term, intensive support for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis who require additional structure and stabilization but do not require inpatient hospitalization. The CRU offers a safe, supportive environment focused on helping individuals regain stability, strengthen coping and daily living skills, address immediate barriers, and successfully transition back to the community.

Compensation

This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt. This position is eligible for a hybrid base rate salary plus incentive model if the candidate is interested.

Base Rate

The base rate for fully licensed clinicians is calculated with a starting hourly rate of $37.02 plus credit for years of full-licensure experience as defined below:

• $37.20 to $44.98 per hour is the approved base rate range
• 1% per year for each year of full licensure
• $1,500 Spanish-language incentive annual stipend (paid bi-weekly) available. Must pass a Spanish assessment.
• The starting annual earnings for under-licensed therapists (CSW, ACMHC) is $31.25 per hour.

Qualifications

Required

The Adult Mental Health Therapist must fulfill the minimum required qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work or related field.
• Current licensure in the state of Utah as an LCSW or equivalent (if under licensed, must work towards obtaining full licensure).
• Must have relevant experience in the behavioral health field.

Experience

Required

• Experience in completing behavioral health assessments and providing clinical care.

Skills/Abilities

The follow skills and abilities are critical to the success of the Adult Mental Health Outpatient Therapist

• Clinical expertise in screening, assessments, diagnosis, and crisis intervention.
• Demonstrates the skills necessary to motivate and engage clients.
• Considerable knowledge of trauma-informed care, including screening, assessing, and treating from a trauma-informed lens.
• Good organizational and practice management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and community agencies (such as DCFS, juvenile courts, etc.).
• Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work, including evenings.

Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
