Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy within a school setting in Harvey, Louisiana, part of the New Orleans area. This role supports students under the jurisdiction of a local school district with the specific assignment of schools and caseload details to be determined.

Key responsibilities include conducting speech and language evaluations and delivering teletherapy services to students, emphasizing virtual engagement and individualized therapy plans. The position requires adherence to district regulations and timely completion of credentialing forms for human resources processing. A commitment to professional standards and collaboration with educational staff is essential to support student communication development effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA
  • Experience or ability to perform telespeech and teletherapy services
  • Compliance with district-specific credentialing procedures

Position Details:

  • Location: Harvey, LA (New Orleans area)
  • Employment Type: Full-time contract
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Contract Dates: August 7, 2026 – May 27, 2027

Note: Employment offers will be contingent upon school board contract renewal, which will be voted on June 3, 2026.
