Job TitlePrincipal Cost Estimator AssociateFunctional TitleCost Analyst IIIContract position State LocationColorado Springs - CO - Colorado Springs, CO US (Primary)EducationBachelor's Level DegreeJob TypeFull-timeJob Description Collaborate with a team of Quantech cost analysts & subject matter experts on a variety of projects -Develop life cycle cost estimates for DoD weapon system programs -Analyze historical data and develop analogies and cost estimating relationships using regression analysis -Understand technology trends and analyze impact on cost -Analyze software program progress tracking tools (JIRA, Microsoft TFS, etc.) and develop metrics and insights for program managers -Interview functional specialists in support of estimating methodology development -Develop risk distributions for cost driver variables & cost estimating relationship equations -Analyze program schedules and quantify schedule uncertainty -Study, analyze, and develop metrics for complex modern software development programs -Build complex spreadsheet-based program cost models used as decision analysis tools -Apply statistics concepts to quantify the probability of success for program budget and schedule plans -Conduct business case analyses, trade studies and economic analyses -Assist program managers in development and execution of contract strategies and program plans Cost analysis experience or relevant experience in quantitative analysis positions (economic analysis, analytics, statistics, regression) -Proficient in analyzing datasets and developing statistical models, but also able to tackle problems by thinking outside of the box -Technical fast learner with the ability to communicate with multiple functional teams to gather (programmatic/technical) data and translate it into cost impacts for the government -Experienced problem solver, comfortable working in ambiguous environments with the ability to lead financial focused conversations with cross functional teams -Approachable team player with the skillset to successfully work a variety of projects and take direction from multiple sources at once -Proficient in ACEIT Software Suite (ACE, POST, CO$TAT) and Excel -Experience in data science, machine learning, visualization and business intelligence tools a plus -Experience with cost estimation of Agile Software Development and/or Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP) programs -Experience with SEER Software (SEER-SEM, SEER-H, SEER-IT), COCOMO, TruePlanningJob RequirementsColorado Springs, COTop Secret Clearance required. On-Site 5 Days a week BA/BS in relevant functional field MA/MS and 10 Years w 5 in DoD OR BA/BS and 12 Yrs exp w 5 in DoD 8 Years minimum DoD yearWe hire military.Salary information below is a general guide only.
