Looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in an educational setting? This contract role as a Paraprofessional provides hands-on experience supporting students and educators in a school environment near Colchester, VT. The role is set to begin on August 20th and spans the full academic year, with a 37.5-hour work week from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
As a Behavioral Intervention (BI) Paraprofessional, you’ll play a key role in assisting K-8 students, providing both educational and behavioral support in the classroom setting. Multiple positions are available, allowing you to work within different grade levels according to your experience and interests.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar support role
- Familiarity with implementing behavioral intervention strategies preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist students with academic tasks and participation in classroom activities
- Support students with behavioral, emotional, and social needs under teacher guidance
- Help implement individualized education or behavioral plans as directed
- Document observations and track student progress for classroom teams
- Provide situational support and crisis intervention as needed
