Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Pediatric Early Childhood

A growing pediatric therapy program is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support early-intervention services for children ages 27 with autism and developmental delays. This role is ideal for PTAs who love play-based therapy, collaboration, and helping young children build motor skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group pediatric PT sessions under the supervision of a licensed PT
• Assist with evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment planning
• Manage a pediatric caseload and maintain daily progress notes
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, BCBAs, SLPs, and early childhood staff
• Participating in staff meetings, parent communication, and training as needed
• Support program development and maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications

• Active Missouri PTA license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• 12 years of pediatric experience preferred
• Passion for working with young children
• Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and professional
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and lift to 25 lbs. during sessions
• CPR certification or the ability to obtain
