Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services of Ozarks (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves, make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort of our care receiver's home.
SHS empowers seniors to continue living independently by caring for day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working with our senior population
- Be a caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable individual
- Understand the importance of our services to our seniors
- Have a positive attitude and be dedicated to our SHS mission
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
- Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS
- Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed
Companionship and Homemaker Duties May Include
- Provide companionship
- Assist with light housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…
- Shopping and errands
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Pet care
- Light yard work
- Light handyman services
- Overnight supervision
- Incidental transportation to doctor's appointments, family, or their favorite restaurant
Personal Care Duties May Include
- Assist with dressing
- Assist with feeding
- Assist with showering / bathing
- Mobility assistance
- Assist with toileting / incontinence
- Memory care
Other Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for all services
- Caregivers may be contacted by management outside of standard office hours when coverage is needed for open shifts.
- Maintain documentation of all services provided
- Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior, or appearance to our office staff
- Communicate regularly and proactively with our office staff
- Participate in relevant in-service opportunities and other informational meeting when possible
- Clock in and out using our care management system
