Description
  • Conduct thorough assessments for patients of all ages, employing both established standardized methods and insightful observational techniques.
  • Create effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, addressing immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing objectives.
  • Engage in personalized therapy sessions focusing on various aspects of speech, including language, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care strategies that benefit each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce therapeutic progress outside of the clinical environment.
  • Participate in select inpatient therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise documentation in alignment with clinical guidelines and regulations.
  • Remain abreast of ongoing developments in the field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
