About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensure required to work as an RN in Pennsylvania Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Open heart experience - CABG (on and off pump) - TAVR - Open valve replacement - Thoracic lung experience - Robotic surgery experience Description: Travelers must have proficient or advanced skills in CABG's, thoracoscopies, and lung resections. Open heart experience is required for this position. The role will involve weekday call from 3 PM to 7 AM and weekend call from 7 AM to 7 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The nurse will float to the main operating room as needed. The facility provides a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, cardiology, trauma services, and more. Candidates must complete all necessary screenings prior to starting the position. The unit serves a diverse patient population, including all ages. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality surgical care and responding to urgent open-heart cases as needed. Weekend open-heart cases are limited, and weekday heart call is infrequently utilized. Candidates must be willing to accept call responsibilities.
