About the Role:

As a Senior Production Supervisor with Best Block, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring company safety programs are being followed and utilized to ensure the safety of our employees.
• Completing monthly and yearly compliance audits and activities that drive continuous improvement throughout the business. Weekly & Monthly safety meetings.
• Utilizing our facilities, equipment, and personnel to achieve the highest level of product production while ensuring safety and quality standards are met at the lowest possible cost.
• Continuous improvement in product quality that includes product testing to ensure our manufactured products meet all specifications and requirements.
• Maintaining equipment readiness, plant cleanliness and storage, and production line efficiency.
• Utilizing downtime tracking and productivity data to drive all maintenance activities, which include predictive, preventative, and corrective actions.
• Effectively communicating organizational policies and procedures and providing daily direction to various staff functions, including production scheduling, administration, inventory management, order process, and transportation.
• Providing leadership and direction to the Team, which includes selection, development, and evaluation of personnel in all positions.
• Ensuring all machine operators receive training that improves their level of knowledge and proficiency of safe plant operations.
• Possessing a deep understanding of all manufacturing processes and production equipment.
• Ensuring all quality procedures are adhered to and documented in compliance with company policies. Scheduling production shifts and personnel so that production schedules and timelines are met, while being adaptable to any changes in business levels.

Requirements:

• Experience with Concrete Products Manufacturing is a plus!
• Understanding of Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) equipment.
• Proficient in a variety of PC-based software applications.
• Demonstrated history of working in a team-oriented environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive "can do" attitude and ability to motivate team.
• Self-starter. Able to work independently, plan, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, manage and complete work.
• Able to analyze problem circumstances, solve problems, and give direction regarding problem resolution in an expeditious fashion.
• Possesses effective time management skills. Able to "switch gears" between tasks without losing focus.
