Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry License: Oregon RN license (pending license accepted) Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias - Experience with management of dysrhythmias - Knowledge of O2 protocol - Non-invasive airway management proficiency - Peripheral line care and management - Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge - Rapid response team activation experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. The role involves providing care for a diverse group of patients, including very sick medical/surgical patients. You will be expected to work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6. Care will include managing patients with various conditions such as sepsis, pneumonia, UTIs, acute respiratory failure, CHF, and diabetes. You will need to be able to titrate critical drips, including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. The unit supports acute and chronic BiPAP management, which is supervised by skilled respiratory therapists. Nurses will also be involved in computerized documentation and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. This role may require floating to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Refusal to float may lead to contract cancellation. Former employees are not eligible for this position for six months after termination. Candidates must finalize their time-off requests at the time of submission.
