It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkPosition oversees the quality assurance program for vocational rehabilitation services and requires extensive travel within the Central region of the state. Key responsibilities include conducting audits of casework records to ensure compliance with program standards and federal regulations; consulting with field staff and management on casework issues; and providing training and technical guidance to counselors and other field‑based personnel. The role also involves administering the promotional testing process for independent rehabilitation counselors. The successful candidate must have the ability and means to travel frequently to meet the demands of the position.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Grade Range $60,881 - $106,544Recruitment Range $60,881 - $77,000**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
