Walmart Global Tech is looking to hire a seasoned Senior Data Scientist for their Personalization team in Sunnyvale, CA to support the Personalization and Recommendation development efforts with our eCommerce team.

About the Team:

The Personalization team consists of platform, application engineers, scientists and product visionaries all working together to design, prototype and build technology-driven products and experiences that will change the future landscape of ecommerce. We are focused on building end-to-end customer experience, from finding the product to delivering it to the customer. This will span many markets, business models and form factors; therefore, we are looking for data scientists who will bring not only the experiences in technologies, but the curiosity and capability to innovate. What You'll Do:

• Developstate of the arttechniques in Machine Learning, Personalization and Recommendation systems

• Design, implement, and own thestate-of-the-artMachine Learning approaches including deep learning, reinforcement learning, generativeAItechniques

• Collaboratewith other tech leads on top-down or bottom-up initiatives and priorities

• Develop data modelsanditerativelyimprove thembased on new data insights

• Design,architectand iterate on data models

• Iterate, challenge, and accelerate best practices in Personalization and Item Recommendations

What You'll Bring:

• Master's degree/Ph.D in DataScience, ComputerScienceor related fields with practical experience

• Expertisein Machine Learning, Statistics,Generatlive AI,Personalization and Item Recommendation algorithms

• Experience in data science and building and evaluating large scale machine learninganddeep learning models

• Experience in designing and deploying highly scalable Recommenderssystems for e-commerce

• Curiosity instate-of-the-arttechniques in recommendation related areas

• Exceptional business acumen and problem-solving skills, a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex AI solutions

• Outstanding communication, leadership, and written skills

• Strong codingskillsin Python or other related language

• Experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark, Hive, and/or SQL

• Experiencedesigningscalable end-to-endmodel architectures and conducting experimentsinPyTorch/TensorFlowto solve complex predictive modeling problems

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Personalization and recommendation development and implementation experience in an e-commerce environment strongly preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
