Internship Summary As a Director of Sales and Marketing SkillBridge Intern at Juniper Communities, you will gain hands-on leadership experience managing community outreach, occupancy strategy, and lead generation in a hospitality retirement environment. You'll help develop and implement marketing initiatives, build and maintain referral networks, and guide prospective residents and their families through the decision-making journeyall while coordinating internal team efforts to drive community occupancy. This internship blends strategic planning, performance management, and relationship-building across digital and in-person channels. You'll also gain exposure to market analysis, branding, and the operational alignment of sales goals with broader organizational strategy.

Responsibilities : Manage community sales efforts including prospecting, lead tracking, and closing Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners Lead and coach the Sales and Marketing team Implement marketing plans and track performance metrics Develop and maintain a community outreach and networking calendar Ensure compliance with Juniper's values and regulatory policies Create and oversee the move-in process and welcome experience for new residents Provide customer service and tour training for staff Maintain CRM accuracy and sales reporting Collaborate across departments to support community-wide events and campaigns Monitor and manage department budgets, supplies, and reporting

Educational/Vocational Requirements: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred Prior experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, or public engagement Strong organizational and presentation skills Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM systems) Understanding of the aging population's needs is a plus Compensation Range : If hired after the internship the target compensation range is $70K - $82K. This compensation can vary depending on experience level, certifications, and other factors. [ NOTE: Because this is a SkillBridge Internship, it is understood that no single candidate will have equal expertise in all the areas of responsibility listed. Successful candidates will possess a compelling combination of many of them and the self-awareness and wisdom to leverage existing and/or new resources in the area(s) where they lack personal mastery.] Vets2PM Provides: Project Management (PMP) or ACP/Scrum Master Certification Training Mentorship and guidance via weekly SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings. PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course. Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'. Other: Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
