SICU Registered Nurse

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with Epic EMR system
• Strong knowledge of ICU patient management, especially surgical recovery
• Expertise with PA catheters and balloon pump management
• Ability to care for post-op CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissection, IABP, and PA catheter cases
• Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in transplant recovery (liver, heart, lung, kidney, pancreas)
• Familiarity with other ICU specialties
• Advanced certifications or specialized training in critical care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or surgical recovery experience, with relevant certifications
• Epic experience required

Other Requirements:

• Enrolled or certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
• Ability to work night shifts: 4 nights a week, 12-hour shifts (7:45 PM - 6:15 AM)
• Flexibility to be part of emergency response teams, including staying at the facility during emergencies
• Willingness to float to other ICUs and SDUs as needed
• Valid nursing license and compliance with all state and federal requirements
