Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair public address (PA) and communication systems in hospital and healthcare environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently and supporting critical systems where reliability matters.
Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain hospital public address (PA) and related communication systems
- Diagnosing and repair system issues including amplifiers, speakers, paging controllers, cabling and telecommunication bridge components in between the PA system and the Telecom department.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system testing to ensure compliance and uptime
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and system documentation
- Work on-site in active hospital environments while following safety and infection-control protocols
- Document service calls, repairs and installations accurately
- Communicate professionally with hospital staff, project managers and internal teams
- Experience in field service, audio installations, telecom or similar technical role
- Strong troubleshooting skills with audio, paging, and/or communication systems
- Familiarity with nurse call systems and manufacturers such as Rauland, AtlasIED, Valcom, Bogen, etc.
- Mechanical skills that apply to other projects/repairs that we perform for our clients
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally or regionally
- Ability to pass background checks required for hospital access
