Chief Financial Officer - Agricultural Cooperative

Location: North-Central North Dakota
Compensation: $100,000-$150,000, depending on experience .
Relocation : Open to candidates willing to relocate


A well-established agricultural cooperative is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team and help guide the organization through its next stage of growth.


What You’ll Do

• Lead long-term financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting with consideration for agricultural commodity cycles.
• Oversee accounting operations, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and grain accounting .
• Manage financial risk related to commodity trading, grain inventories, and market volatility .
• Serve as a key financial advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors .
• Manage relationships with lenders, auditors, and regulatory agencies .
• Help ensure the cooperative maintains strong financial health while supporting its long-term goals.

What We’re Looking For

• CFO, Controller, or senior-level financial leadership experience.
• Previous grain accounting experience is required.
• Strong background in agriculture, grain, agribusiness, or cooperatives .
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of commodity-driven agricultural businesses.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

This is a long-term leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a strong agriculture and grain background who wants to play an important role within an established cooperative.
