Y&B Solutions is a Houston-based industrial electrical contractor delivering projects for clients across multiple states and regions. Our work spans power distribution, instrumentation, heat tracing, generator and switchgear installations, and plant upgrades in operating industrial environments — cement, power generation, petrochemical, and heavy manufacturing.

The Role

We're looking for an Electrical Project Manager to own industrial electrical construction projects end to end — from award through closeout. You'll be accountable for the schedule, the budget, the field execution plan, and the client relationship on your assigned work.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the field, in the numbers, and on the phone with clients in the same week.

What You'll Do

• Manage multiple concurrent electrical construction projects from kickoff through final billing and closeout

• Build and maintain project schedules; track progress, earned value, and productivity against the baseline

• Own the project budget: cost forecasting, labor tracking, change management, and monthly cost reporting

• Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders — including scope reviews, change orders, RFIs, and submittals

• Coordinate material procurement and long-lead equipment against the construction sequence

• Partner with superintendents and general foremen on manpower planning, sequencing, and constructability

• Serve as the primary client contact: progress reporting, issue resolution, and change communication

• Enforce safety and quality standards on every project, every day

• Support estimating with pricing input, historical productivity data, and post-job lessons learned

What You Bring

Required

• 5+ years managing industrial or commercial electrical construction projects

• Working knowledge of the NEC and industrial electrical installation methods (medium- and low-voltage distribution, motor controls, instrumentation, cable tray and conduit systems)

• Demonstrated ownership of project cost and schedule performance

• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, one-lines, and specifications

• Understanding of project scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred; MS Project acceptable) and Excel

• Comfortable working in and around operating industrial facilities

• Willingness to travel to project sites

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass client site background and drug screening requirements

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent field-to-office progression

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license

• OSHA 30, TWIC card

• Experience with cost-loaded schedules and earned value reporting

• Prior work in cement, power generation, or petrochemical environments
