Pediatric Hospitalist

SSM Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist to join a large pediatric group with locations throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. In this role, clinicians will provide pediatric ED coverage, round on newborns, and attend deliveries while ensuring high-quality patient care and collaboration with advanced practice nurses and program teams. The position offers flexible scheduling options including PRN, part-time, and full-time needs with 12-hour day and night shifts. Practice Info Large pediatric group Locations throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton, a Level I Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and a Level I Stroke Center Responsibilities Provide pediatric ED coverage Round on newborns Attend c-sections/deliveries Responsible for admission, management, and discharge of pediatric patients in conjunction with attending physicians as appropriate Evaluates patients and performs procedures as deemed appropriate by the Glennon Care Pediatrics Medical Director Responds to requests from facility's Emergency Department for patient evaluation and treatment Attends high-risk deliveries in the Program Site labor and delivery room Be available at all times during scheduled shifts to provide care to neonates in the nursery as necessary to consult with the neonatologist as appropriate Shift & Schedule 12 hrs shifts day/night Various position needs - PRN, Part Time, Full Time Qualifications BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist NRP Certification Comply with all of the designated hospital bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures and any such bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of any Program Site at which the physician performs services
