Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and accurately diagnose mental health conditions for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Counselor at Familias First, you will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals and families from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds facing an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Our clientele values culturally competent therapy tailored to their specific situations, emphasizing strength-based approaches that empower clients on their journey towards mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Active licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient or clinical mental health setting, demonstrating strong clinical skills.
\n
• Proficient problem-solving and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and trust with clients.
\n
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness strategies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous work experience within a community health clinic or similar environment.

• Demonstrated success in treating diverse populations, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances in therapy.

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and family systems therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
