About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified RRT in Welch, West Virginia, 24801!

Job Responsibilities

• Overnight Critical Care & Airway Management: Provide comprehensive respiratory care across acute care units and the Emergency Department, including invasive mechanical ventilation setup, management, weaning protocols, and airway maintenance.

• Non-Invasive Ventilation & Therapeutics: Initiate and monitor BiPAP/CPAP therapy, administer continuous nebulizer treatments, perform chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, and analyze blood gas values for rapid clinical interventions.

• Emergency & Resuscitation Response: Respond immediately to overnight Code Blues, Rapid Response calls, stroke alerts, and trauma resuscitation cases in the ER to secure airways and manage emergency ventilation.

• Equipment Care & Maintenance: Perform routine calibrations, quality control checks, and cleaning on ventilators, blood gas analyzers, and bedside delivery equipment during off-peak hours.

Job Requirements

• Certifications: Active national credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) issued by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).

• State Licensure: Active, unencumbered West Virginia Respiratory Care License issued by the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care.

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent, independent clinical experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting. Strong autonomous critical care and ER competency is required for small-facility night coverage.

• Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory (PALS and NRP are highly valued for emergency response).
