Software Engineer I, Fullstack (Search)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team projects and goals with support from teammates.
• Design, develop, and launch backend systems at scale.
• Build clear, well-tested, extensible solutions that interact with multiple software components.
• Navigate a large codebase, debug code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders while communicating risks and trade-offs.
• Balance speed and quality while protecting systems from downtime.
• Participate in team growth and development activities.

Requirements

• Previous work or internship experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Previous work or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into software solutions.
• Experience writing clear, understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
• Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others’ code, and conducting code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
• Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
