FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECHNICIAN)

Firefighter Duties
You will fight structural fires actively and effectively based on up-to-date knowledge of layouts, potential hazards, and fixed fire protection systems.
You will perform duties at airfields handling aircraft (e.g., fighters, bombers, cargo, passenger) carrying large volumes of fuel, conventional and sometimes nuclear weapons, or highly flammable or explosive cargo.
You will provide tactical or strategic level guidance for response personnel at hazardous materials incidents in confinement, control, and containment of various classes of hazardous materials.
You will perform emergency protocols and procedures by providing basic life support (BLS) established by the system medical director.
