Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a dedicated behavioral paraprofessional for the upcoming 26/27 school year! This contract opportunity near Detroit, MI offers the chance to work closely with three students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across both middle and high school settings. You’ll be part of a collaborative and caring environment, committed to helping students succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experienced paraprofessionals, especially those with a background in behavioral support for ASD students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain patient, positive, and proactive in challenging situations
• Team-oriented attitude, willing to work closely with teachers and therapists
• Organizational skills and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of each student
• Previous experience working in middle or high school preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD
• Implement behavioral interventions and strategies outlined in students’ individualized plans
• Record and report on student progress and behaviors
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
• Assist with classroom tasks, transitions, and activities as needed
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, intervention specialists, and parents
