Job Title: Travel RN OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 hours Experience: 2 years of experience in hospital setting required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - BLS - Recent OR experience Description: Travel RN position available in the operating room. Two years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Must hold an active state license at the time of submission. BLS certification is required. The unit has four operating room beds and a staff of five RNs and six surgical techs, with four serving as first assists. Day shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, while night shifts are on call from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The unit performs a variety of procedures, including robotic surgeries, orthopedic procedures, general surgeries, and more. Candidates should have experience in scrub procedures and preferably hold CNOR certification. Typical procedures include robotic procedures for prostate and hysterectomy, all orthopedic surgeries such as shoulders, knees, and hips, GYN procedures both laparoscopic and open, and spinal surgeries including fusions and laminectomies. The ideal candidate will be flexible with a good attitude. Floating to endoscopy may be required when necessary. The dress code consists of grey scrubs supplied and laundered by the facility, with scrubs to be changed daily. Weekends and on-call duties are required every 5-6 weekends and one call night per week.
