This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

3x12.0 structured shift schedule

Schedule Details

• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Monday-Friday day shifts
• On call responsibilities per unit need (until 11pm only)
• No weekends
• Holidays per unit need
• Evening call and rotating holiday requirements

Job Duties

• RNFA is a highly trained RN who must have both a CNOR certification and have completed an RNFA program which is offered through a college or university
• Collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient
• Practices perioperative nursing and must have acquired the necessary knowledge, skill & judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room and in the RNFA role
• Practices in collaboration with and at the direction of the surgeon in the operative phase of the perioperative experience
• Performs duties of OR staff RN when not assigned in RNFA role
• Combined Circ/Scrub and RNFA role

Job Requirements

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• DaVinci Experience Required:
  • Robotic Urology
  • Robotic GYN
  • Robotic Colorectal
  • Robotic Surgical Oncology (whipples, gastrectomies, hernias, etc)
  • Robotic Thoracic
  • Robotic general surgery (gall bladders, appendectomies)
• CNOR Required
• Two (2) years Experience OR experience in a level 1 trauma preferred
• NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• Proficient in perioperative nursing practice-preferred scrubbing and circulating experience

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
• CNOR Certification
