Class A Diesel Mechanic Technician - Offering Sign On Bonus!

Compensation Hourly pay up to $33.50 per hour, based on experience. Sign‑On Bonus up to $10,000 (Terms Apply). $1,000 Annual Tool Allowance. Annual Safety Boot Allowance. Benefits available Day 1 of Employment. Shift: Monday – Thursday, 10pm‑6:30am. Position Purpose Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Communicate and interact with co‑workers. Technicians are responsible for the documentation, completion, and keeping the work orders for all repairs and parts used daily. The position will be required to perform road call services as needed. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root cause of basic failures. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other components to ensure proper operating condition and replace parts as necessary. Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed “roadworthy.” Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Install, replace, and repair onboard computers. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, and power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks and hoists. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Train other employees. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent. 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel, air & air‑disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
