Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Med Surg RN – Float Pool

Self-scheduling; 5:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends. Approximately 3 weekends on and 3 weekends off on a 6-week schedule.

Contract length: 10 weeks minimum.

Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience

NM nursing license (may pend at submission)

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

Core clinical skills: Med/Surg & Telemetry monitoring; IV start/maintenance; phlebotomy; central line care; blood product administration; chest tube care; oxygen therapies; non-invasive airway management.

Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med Surg float pool setting.

Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Conduct patient assessments and document care in the EMR system.

Educate patients and families regarding health management and care plans.

Participate in rapid response and code team situations as necessary.

COVID vaccination required; exemptions accepted with proper documentation.

Drug screen must be completed within 30 days prior to start.

No requests for time off during the first 7 days or on the last day of the contract.

Max one holiday bundle preferred.

Non-billable modules required before start.
