Test Analyst PositionOur client, a Fortune 500 financial and payments technology company, leads the industry in innovation, scale, and service. They are now looking to add to their team and are looking to hire a "Test Analyst". This role will be based out of Chattanooga, TN, and requires being onsite three days a week.High-Level Role OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Professional to support software and mobile application testing initiatives. This individual will play a key role in ensuring product quality through effective test planning, execution, and validation across the software development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute manual testing for software and mobile applications.Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and Agile teams.Learn new products quickly and become a subject matter expert on functionality and user experience.Ensure releases meet quality standards and business requirements.Support API testing efforts and validate integrations between systems.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.Required Experience5+ years of Quality Assurance experienceStrong background in software and mobile application testingExperience creating and maintaining detailed test cases and test plansFamiliarity with API testing methodologies and toolsExperience working within Agile development environmentsIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment while maintaining a structured approach to quality assurance.Develop manual test cases to increase regression coverage as well as new functionality testingExecute manual test cases including ad-hoc and exploratory testing as neededDocument and/or review testing results working closely with Developers and Business Analysts to resolve reported issuesDevelop and create testing data needed to execute manual test casesPerform software configurations and deployments to manage your testing system for successful testing resultsManage testing to project timelinesParticipate in the Agile project flow providing feedback in all areas, paying close attention to high risk areas and communicating testing concernsEnsure High Quality in all deliverables: software, hardware, test cases, bug cases, and documented resultsBecome a subject matter expert on existing and new features ensuring you can fully test, review logs for troubleshooting and create new and update existing test casesAnalyze existing features and test cases and consider areas where new test cases should be created or existing cases modified to have a better coverage of the featureSkills Required skills/experience:Two+ years of experience testing web-based software applicationsExperience using SQL to extract, modify and add data to SQL Server databasesKnowledge and application of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and toolsSolid understanding of the SDLC and Agile software development methodologyCreative, detail-oriented and a problem solverStrong organizational and analytical skillsSelf-motivated and driven; takes ownership of personal and team goalsAble to excel with limited supervision in a rapidly changing environment under aggressive timelinesExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred skills/experience:One year of experience using automation tools (Selenium ideal) and techniques for user interface automation and also tools similar to Fiddler or Postman, for web services testing.Knowledge of hardware devices such as card processing devices, access control locks, mobile devices, POS (Point of Sale) terminals, etc.Experience with applications that use near-field communication (NFC)Electrical/wiring experienceExperience using JIRA for Agile development & reporting of bugsExperience using TestRail for the writing, organization & completion of test cases.EducationBS or BA degree.
