Job Overview Position: Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Responsible for supporting plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor safety, and coordinating medical support under guidance of the Center Manager and Physician. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological results. Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions as per SOPs. Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of standing orders and donor transport to emergency care. Coordinate with Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Handle employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health; follow EHS guidance. Serve as pandemic coordinator when authorized, support investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; graduate-level nursing program with state licensing requirements. Currently licensed or certified in state of assignment (e.g., EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Qualifications for basic IV therapy per state requirements. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $28.16 – $38.72 (US – CO – Loveland). Pay based on qualifications, experience, skills, certification, and location. Up to 80 hours of sick time per year; up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires. Sign‑on bonus of $2000.
