Robotics Technical Program Manager, Dexterity, Optimus

What To Expect The Optimus (Tesla Bot) team is seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Manager to support the end-to-end development of the Optimus hand hardware subsystem. This role will focus on driving the creation of a high-dexterity, mass-manufacturable hand for the Optimus humanoid robot, ensuring seamless integration across hardware engineering, firmware, controls, and AI manipulation teams. You will work closely with Global Sourcing, Supplier Industrialization, and Tesla suppliers to meet production demands, while driving escalations and resolutions for any schedule risks. In addition to exceptional organizational skills, you must leverage strong technical expertise and demonstrate a working understanding of electromechanical systems, controls, testing, manufacturing, and assembly to guide cross-functional execution and mitigate technical challenges. What You'll Do Own overall program schedule and roadmap to meet development needs. Identify strategies to accelerate development where possible Create, own, and manage the end-to-end hardware development process from architecture, design, prototyping, validation testing, industrialization and mass production Track and maintain key components and program metrics including cost, reliability, mass, and performance to schedule Identify, track, and communicate program and technical risks.
