Senior Epic Application Analyst (Cogito/Reporting) The Senior Epic Application Analyst (Cogito/Reporting) leads the planning, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Cogito reporting, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. This role partners with operational, clinical, financial, and technical stakeholders to deliver enterprise reporting capabilities that support data-driven decision-making, regulatory reporting, and strategic initiatives across Dell Medical School and UT Health Austin. The Senior Epic Application Analyst (Cogito/Reporting) leads the planning, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Cogito reporting and analytics solutions, including Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Cogito SQL Reporting, and Cogito Cloud. This role collaborates with operational, clinical, financial, and technical stakeholders to deliver enterprise reporting solutions that support organizational strategy, regulatory compliance, workflow optimization, and data-informed decision-making. Responsibilities Leads Planning, Execution, and Delivery of Cogito Analytics, Extracts, and Reporting Projects Leads End-to-End Implementation and Enhancement of Epic Cogito Solutions Customer and Vendor Liaison Ensures Data Governance and Security Documentation and Training Marginal or Periodic Functions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of seven years of experience managing technical projects within a healthcare or enterprise IT environment Hands-on experience with Epic Cogito tools, including Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, and Cogito SQL Reporting Proficiency developing and supporting Microsoft SSIS packages for Cogito Extracts Experience supporting Epic implementation, reporting, analytics, or enterprise data warehouse initiatives Strong understanding of healthcare data models, clinical workflows, operational reporting, and business intelligence Proficiency with SQL and healthcare data analysis Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Epic Cogito Cloud or cloud-based analytics environments Strong SQL, ETL, and enterprise data warehousing experience utilizing Clarity and Caboodle Experience supporting hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centers, or complex healthcare organizations Understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) requirements Experience leading enterprise reporting, business intelligence, analytics, or healthcare data initiatives Experience with Epic reporting optimization, dashboard development, operational reporting, and enterprise analytics solutions Salary Range $98,875+ depending on qualifications Working Conditions Standard office environment and equipment Repetitive use of a keyboard and computer Hybrid work environment with on-site collaboration as business needs require May participate in after-hours support activities during Epic implementations, reporting deployments, upgrades, or critical operational initiatives May be exposed to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications, and disoriented or combative patients while supporting healthcare environments Required Materials Resume/CV 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor Letter of interest The University of Texas at Austin Staff
