Position Details Location: Winston‑Salem, NC Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour shifts, day shifts) Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Create personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans with various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care and optimal outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Doctoral degree in physical therapy preferred. Physical Therapy experience ideal; new graduates welcome. Additional certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication in English. PC proficiency and ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Physical, Interpersonal, and Technical Abilities Maintain a stationary position and move about as needed. Move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend, and perform fine manipulation during procedures. Work effectively with diverse personnel, presenting professionalism and a positive attitude. Coping with frequent public contact and maintaining concentration under pressure.
