STORE MANAGER

Store ManagerThe Store Manager sets an upbeat and happy tone for the store. He/she ensures that the mission, principles, and Scooter's Coffee touchstones are carried out, embraced, and modeled by all employees. The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the assigned Scooter's Coffee location; directs staff to ensure that customers are satisfied with their experience; and makes certain the assigned location is profitable. The Store Manager may work up to 40-50 hours per week.Essential Functions:Interviews, hires, trains, oversees, and retains all store employeesSchedules shifts for all staff while maintaining efficient labor costsResponds to employees' questions in a timely mannerEnforces dress codeMaintains positive employee moraleMakes and services specialty coffee and tea beveragesAdheres to recipes and presentations for food and beverage itemsEnsures product quality and a premium customer experienceMaintains a pleasant store appearance; maintains safe working conditionsManages inventory; orders and tracks using COGSInspects supplies and equipment to ensure they are working properlyPerforms open/closing procedures and reports as neededEnsures employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulationsInvestigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality or serviceManages Scooter's Coffee card salesSubmits payrollCovers shifts as neededRuns errandsAttends meetingsPerforms other functions as directedQualifications and Requirements:High school diploma; associate's degree in management or related field preferred2+ years of customer service experience required2+ years of experience managing staff preferredMust have a current driver's licenseMust be able to deal professionally and tactfully with customers and staff at all timesMust have good interpersonal communication skillsMust work efficiently in a quick-paced environment; be able to multi-task and prioritizeMust be able to work a flexible scheduleMust be dependable and reliableMust be able to assist employees while helping to build and lead a skillful, knowledgeable teamMust have the ability to obtain an extensive knowledge of product and preparationMost physical exertion is in the 'low' range, requiring exertion of less than 5 pounds of force fairly regularly; however, may occasionally require exertion of up to 25 pounds.Job includes major amounts of reaching, standing, walking, talking and hearingMust have a sufficient visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned to employees, and to make general inspections of the work areaEnvironmental conditions include a mild to moderate noise levelAbout Scooter's Coffee:Established in 1998, Scooter's Coffee has distinguished itself as one of the premiere specialty coffee companies in the industry.
