Project Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Accountant in Gainesville, VA. Duties:

• Project Accountant will conduct physical inventory counts at multiple branch locations
• Verify inventory quantities and reconcile discrepancies
• Assist with inventory analysis and reporting
• Document findings and communicate results to management
• Partner with branch personnel and operations teams during count procedures
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation
• Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and company policies
• As a Project Accountant, you will assist with inventory-related accounting adjustments and reconciliations as needed
• Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory management
• Travel to branch locations throughout the duration of the project
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting, audit, inventory accounting, cost accounting, or related experience
• Manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or multi-location business experience
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Inventory control or cost accounting background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assignment
