Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center connects visitors’ curiosity to the miracle of farming through hands-on exhibits, our birthing barn experience, and fresh farm-to-table dining in our café. As a family-friendly nonprofit 501(c)(3), Farm Wisconsin creates engaging experiences that inspire guests of all ages to discover the people, innovation, and stories behind Wisconsin agriculture.

Position Summary:
The Cafe Manager works closely with the Hospitality Manager to oversee front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences in the Wisconsin Cafe. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences. The Cafe Manager also works closely with the Chef/Food & Beverage Manager to ensure customer needs and kitchen staff capabilities remain aligned for smooth and efficient service.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality or restaurant management, along with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in managing day-to-day guest-facing operations, including Wisconsin Café and Ice Cream Acres.

· Lead and support front-of-house staff through scheduling, training, and daily supervision.

· Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently maintained.

· Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.

· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of guest-facing spaces.

· Assist with supply ordering and operational inventory management.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in hospitality or food & beverage
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or POS systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with front of house management
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Supervisory or management experience
