Travel Flight Paramedic

Overview PHI Health is a leading air ambulance provider operating from Madison, IN. The role of Flight Paramedic includes a sign‑on bonus up to $25,000 and an annual travel stipend of $20,000, as well as competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities Perform specialized functions, complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies and emergency treatment of patients during rotor‑wing, fixed‑wing or ground transport. Document accurate information for assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport, including complete billing information. Maintain timely communication with management, internal and external customers. Participate in PR and marketing activities. Attend required meetings, chart reviews, equipment reviews, skill labs, clinical rotations and continuing education sessions related to critical care and transport. Complete all annual competency requirements and maintain an active paramedic certification and other required certifications. Act under the licensure of the program’s Medical Director and report indirectly to the Manager of Clinical Services and National Director of Clinical Standards. Operate within local Department of Health Services regulations and scope of practice. Qualifications Active paramedic certification in the state of employment. Minimum of three years (five years preferred) field experience in a busy 911/pre‑hospital service. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP and PHTLS/ITLS. NRP preferred. Instructor certifications preferred. FP‑C certification within twenty‑four months of hire. Flight or transport experience preferred. Successful completion of PHI Air Medical Group education/orientation program. Effective human‑relations skills for interfacing with all personnel and external customers. Basic computer skills for email and electronic charting. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Pass pre‑placement physical exam including functional capacity, drug screening and background check. Maintain body weight below 235lbs.
