Job Description
The CNC Operator will primarily work on metal components, operating laser cutting machinery on a day shift schedule. This role involves independent machine setup and production monitoring as part of a small team, with a strong focus on safety compliance and weekly preventive maintenance. The position offers opportunities for advancement in machine programming, quality inspection, and team supervision.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC laser machines for metal component production
- Operate laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently
- CAD experience to alter Fabrication drawings
- NC file nesting experience
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machinery
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in CNC laser operation
- Technical certificate in CNC operation or a related field
- Proficiency with laser cutting technology and CNC machine operation
- CAD based software experience
- NC File nesting experience
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of quality control and safety procedures
- Strong problem solving and attention to detail
- Effective teamwork and time management skills
